Not even a week has passed since the gruesome murder of Shraddha walker was made known to the world. As details are still emerging from the case, yet another horrible tragedy has been reported from Bangladesh.

A woman named Kavita Rani was murdered by her married lover Abu Bakr in Bangladesh’s Khulna on November 5, Times Now reported.

As per reports, an initial investigation divulged discord between the couple after Kavita discovered that Bakr was already married to a woman named Sapna. They stayed in a flat in the Gobarchaka Square area for the last four years.

This case has an uncanny resemblance to the Shraddha Walkar murder, as Bakr allegedly chopped Kavita’s body into three pieces. The cops discovered the head in a box at Bakr’s house and the body was kept separate. He reportedly had disposed of the hands in a drain.

Rapid Action Force later arrested Abu Bakr on November 7.

Employer’s suspicion led to discovery of crime

This incident became known on November 6 after Abu Bakr – a transport firm employee, skipped work, and his phone was unreachable.

Following this, his employer sent a man to his house to know his whereabouts. The house was locked from the outside. Eventually, Bakr’s landlord grew suspicious of his absence and talked to cops about the same.

Upon arrival, the police found Kavita’s headless body in a box. The head was wrapped in polythene and was kept separate from the body. And the hands were missing.

Heated argument before the murder

Abu Bakr invited Kavita to his house on November 5 as Sapna had gone out for work.

The duo wrangled during the meeting over Bakr’s marital status, and in rage, he strangled Kavita to death.

As per reports, Bakr separated the head from the body, chopped off her hands and disposed of them in a drain.

Shraddha murder: Cops find sharp objects at accused’s flat

New details emerged today in the Shraddha Walkar murder case. Now, the Delhi police have traced down heavy and sharp cutting tools from Aaftab Ameen Poonawala’s flat from his Chhatarpur flat, NDTV reported. The recovered weapons are suspected to be the ones that were used to chop Shraddha’s body.

Cops had also found a heavy black polythene bag from Aaftab’s office in Gurugram yesterday.

More insight into Aaftab’s efforts

The police have also given more insight into Aaftab’s efforts to hide the crime.

They said that he would maintain a distance while dismembering the body – as he had found through the internet that blood splatters travel a few feet.

However, the forensic team believes that the clothes Aaftab was wearing on the day would still have traces of blood on them. Both their clothes have not been found so far. Based on Aaftab’s testimony, it has been revealed that he disposed of Shraddha’s bloodstained clothes in the civic garbage van.

Acting upon this information, police, in their relentless effort, has started tracking the civic network of waste collection. If the sources are to be believed, the cops have pinpointed two dumping sites for waste near the flat where the couple lived. They have also picked all clothing items from the apartment, hoping to find more clues.
